Anna explains how the VA was never meant to be a one stop shop for everything a Veteran needs for their transition back into civilian life. It was always meant to take multiple organizations to handle the load.
It takes a while for organizations and resources to build a regional network which strategic alliances can be formed. Anna said that in the three years she has been in the Greater Tampa / Orlando area, the amount of connecting and the depth of the Veteran Community Resource Network has exponentially grown.
She goes on to explain that the biggest gap that the Camaraderie Foundation is trying to fill is that of providing the families of Active-Duty Military and Veterans with the support they need in any capacity. If the family unit is fractured, the Veteran will also fall a part. Keeping the families healthy, safe, and together is their mission. One mission they are focused on accomplishing.
